Bible Commentaries
From the time I was a kid, I loved reading Bible commentaries. These commentaries provide historical context, cultural insights, and theological interpretations that enrich our comprehension of the Bible. They serve as a bridge between ancient texts and contemporary application. I use Bible commentaries for my lectures, sermons and even for my own devotional time. Therefore, I have categorised the following under those three categories: Academic, Ministerial, and Devotional (some of them overlap as well). I have listed some non-Western Bible commentaries as well. These are my personal recommendations as I enjoy reading them.
